I write love letters in my head.

I debate what words will make your heart beat

Harder –

“Sincerely”, “love”, “always”, “forever”

Me

The girl I know is no longer in your thoughts.

 

I write love letters in the shower

Or while staring at the sky

I bet I write them while I dream

(Though I wake only with an aftertaste of unfinished sentences).

 

I wish I could write you a love letter.

I wish I could confess that

Maybe we did it wrong, and

Maybe we can make it right.
